BOOKING AND CANCELLATION POLICIES
Full Payment is required at the time of booking by a valid credit card.
DIRECT BOOKINGS WITH THE HOTEL
Reservations of 1-3 nights - 100% payable within 7 days of booking being made
Reservations of 4 nights or more - 50% payable within 7 days of booking being made
Hotel rooms – due 4 weeks prior to arrival date
Apartments - due 8 weeks prior to arrival date
RESERVATIONS WILL BE CANCELLED IF MONIES ARE NOT RECEIVED BY THE DUE DATE

2) Credit Card: Visa & Mastercard 1%, American Express 1.6% transaction fee will be incurred
AMENDMENT FEE: A fee of $50 per amendment will apply to reservations altered after the required deposit has been paid.
1) Written cancellations up to 4 weeks (hotel rooms) and 8 weeks (apartments) prior to arrival date are accepted and refunds of deposits given subject to a cancellation fee of 10% of the total tariff.
2) Cancellations within 4 weeks (hotel rooms) and 8 weeks (apartments) prior to arrival date are not accepted and no refunds will be given unless ski guarantee related.
3) In relation to Ski Guarantee related cancellations, third party booking agents and travel agents may deduct a handling fee. Travel agent booking fees or commissions payable are not refundable. Credit card transaction fees are not refundable.
INSURANCE: We strongly recommend travel insurance against the loss of deposit in the event of having to cancel your reservation for whatever reason
ONLINE RESERVATIONS: Please check that the number of persons, adults AND children you have booked for is accurate. It is against health, safety & fire regulations to have more than the allowed capacity of persons per hotel room or apartment. We may not be able to accommodate any additional unadvised guests who will then have to source accommodation elsewhere. No refund will be given if the entire reservation has to be forfeited for
non-compliance with this regulation.
WEEKEND RESERVATIONS: It is hotel policy to only accept weekend bookings that included the Friday Night. This may be varied in some instances with approval by management.
APARTMENTS – SECURITY BOND : Apartment reservations require a Security Bond of $750 payable on arrival at the hotel either by credit card or cash. Persons booking accommodation are responsible for any loss or damage to it. The bond is additional to the cost of the reservation and is fully refundable 5-7 days after departure providing the property is left in a clean, tidy and undamaged condition. Keycards will not be issued until the Security Bond is processed.
KITCHEN: Full kitchens are only available in Apartments. However, kitchens are not serviced and it is the responsibility of the guests if they elect to use the kitchen, to leave it as it was found or a cleaning charge of up to $400.00 may be incurred.
CHECK IN: Guaranteed by 4:00pm
CHECK OUT: 10:00am
Every effort is made to make rooms available as soon as possible after arrival, however, as we cannot guarantee room availability before 4:00pm, change facilities and secure luggage storage are available.

(a) Unless paragraphs (d) and (f) applies, Hotel Pension Grimus will allow for either rescheduling or cancellation with a credit or refund on pre-paid bookings for accommodation and ski/snowboard equipment hire booked direct with Hotel Pension Grimus, via an online booking service or travel agent IF-
(i) government restrictions or regulations result in the Mt Buller or Mt Stirling Resorts being closed to visitors at the time of your intended arrival at the Mt Buller or Mt Stirling Resorts (based on the booking details); and/or
(ii) government restrictions or regulations do not allow you to visit the Mt Buller or Mt Stirling Resorts on your intended dates (based on the booking details).
(b) If you satisfy the criteria under paragraph (a) (i)-(ii) you can contact the Hotel Pension Grimus team on firstname.lastname@example.org to request a reservation change, or cancellation and credit/refund. Please insert “coronavirus application” in the subject line of your email and include details of your booking (itinerary ID, booking reference number, etc.) and the products you want changed, credited or refunded. Should you have booked via an Online Booking Service or Travel Agent please contact them directly.
(c) If you are, or appear to be, located in an area (based on the booking details) that mean you will be or could be prevented by government restrictions or regulations from visiting the Mt Buller or Mt Stirling Resorts as at 21 days prior to your intended arrival date (based on the booking details), Hotel Pension Grimus may contact you and provide you with not less than 7 days (cancellation time-frame) and give you the opportunity to elect to reschedule or get a credit or refund for the accommodation component of your booking. If you do not elect to reschedule or obtain a credit or refund for the accommodation component of your booking within the period of the cancellation timeframe, then you:
(i) take the risk that you and your travelling companions may be prevented by government restrictions or regulations from visiting the Mt Buller or Mt Stirling Resorts for your intended visit; and
(ii) will not be entitled to reschedule the booking or for any credit or refund for monies paid for the accommodation component of your booking if you and any of your travelling companions cannot visit the Mt Buller or Mt Stirling Resorts for the relevant booking because of government restrictions or regulations.
(d) The policy is not a substitute for travel insurance. Travel insurance is highly recommended.
(e) This policy may be updated or amended from time to time as a result of new or changed government restrictions or regulations.
(f) It is the responsibility of the person making the booking to ensure that all people included in the travelling party can and will comply with all relevant government restrictions or regulations (including without limitation any COVID test and/or vaccinations requirements) relevant to resort entry and/or services and activities at the Mt Buller and Mt Stirling Resorts. No rescheduling or cancellations with a credit or refund under paragraphs (a) and (b) will be provided if you or people included in your travelling party do not comply with relevant government restrictions or regulations at relevant times.
(g) In this policy ‘COVID’ means the pandemic and / or public health emergency in connection with the virus or respiratory illness of known as COVID-19 and any associated strain, variety or mutation of that virus or respiratory illness.
This policy should be viewed as an addition to rather than a replacement for travel insurance which is recommended.
We reserve our rights to amend the Terms & Conditions based on the latest Government regulations.

2022 SNOW GUARANTEE INFORMATION

SNOW GUARANTEE PEAK SEASON
Valid Saturday 25 June to Sunday4 September inclusive.
The Snow Guarantee applies if at least Four of the following lifts are not operating for skiing – Bourke Street Express & ABOM
PLUS any three (3) of the following, Bonza, Bull Run, Howqua, Koftlers T Bar, Northside Express, Skyline T Bar, The Fox & Wombat.
SNOW GUARANTEE OFF PEAK SEASON
Valid Saturday 10 June to Friday 24 June inclusive & Monday 7 September to end ski season.
The Snow Guarantee comes into effect if at least Bourke St Express is not operating for skiing.
Customers can only apply for the Snow Guarantee, between 48 hours prior and up to 5pm on the day before they are scheduled to arrive. For instance, if a customer is schedule to arrive on a Sunday, then they must move/cancel their booking between 9am Friday and 5pm Saturday to take advantage of the guarantee. You can contact Hotel Pension Grimus, or your booking agent, to change your booking to a later date or cancel your booking and get a refund. Customers cannot take advantage of Snow Guarantee on the day of their scheduled arrival or during their stay.
SNOW GUARANTEE EXCLUSIONS
The Snow Guarantee only applies if the lifts aren’t operating due to insufficient snow cover. It does not apply where the lifts are not operating due to:
Lift closure due to weather conditions other than insufficient snow, e.g. wind or ice
Lift closure due to mechanical breakdowns or equipment failure.
The Snow Guarantee also does not apply to the following:
Lift access, lessons and rental products purchased on-mountain
Lift access, lessons and rental products purchased on the Mt Buller eStore or App.
